Body Lice

by Renee
(Waynesfield oh)

I seem to have a severe case of body lice, and now realize this is what I have had over nearly 2 years.

I have used lice meds they feel like they are under my skin. I have itchy red sores on my hands which looks like lice under a magnifier glass.

I have an area on my back that is all scratched up and has been for a long time.

I feel like I am going nuts, my family thinks I am.

Hi Renee,

I am so sorry to hear of your distress with the body lice or whatever it may be that is plaguing you.

Are you absolutely certain that it IS body lice that you are dealing with? It could be scabies, or even an internal infection like candida (yeast infection) that is causing the problem.

Have you seen the bugs themselves and had them identified as body lice?

If that is the problem for sure, there are several things you can try. I'm not a big fan of prescription meds (and they don't seem to have been helpful for you anyway), so I'll give you some natural remedies to try.

First of all, you need to be sure to wash your towels, clothes, and bed linens well. You don't want to re-infest yourself over and over again.

It's a good idea to sweep your mattress and your furniture with your vacuum cleaner, too.

Get some good quality Indian Neem oil (you can find it at Mountain Rose Herbs) and put some in your bath water or even mix it with a carrier oil, like Almond Oil (or even olive oil) and rub it on your skin.

This should help with the problem externally. Internally, you should be taking good quality probiotics as well as an anti-parasitic herbal cleanse.

I would suggest you get Florafood and Herbal Fiberblend and begin taking them daily for at least a month.

Take the Herbal Fiberblend in the morning and evening (about 30 minutes before meals for best results). Just mix 1 tsp. in water or juice and drink it down. This will help to cleanse your system on the inside. You can gradually increase the dose over a couple of weeks up to 1 tablespoon twice per day for a really good cleanse (that's what I do).

With the Florafood, you want to take 1-2 capsules with each meal. These are good bacteria that help to boost your immune system and allow your body to fight off any internal infection you may have picked up from this.

You forgot to leave your email address at the end of the page, so I hope you DO remember to come back to the site for this reply. I know it can be very difficult and distressing, particularly when you feel your family is not being supportive and you are at your wits end as to what to do.

Please let me know if I can be of further help.

To your good health!
Blessings,
Angie
