I am active and healthy - well, until now. I have had chronic diarrhea for almost 5 weeks.
At first I thought it was a stomach flu. I've been eating applesauce, keifer, white rice, and miso. I am a vegetarian and eat a lot of organic food.
I have a dull constant ache in my stomach and food goes right through me. I also cannot seem to sleep enough and I am pale.
Your advice is appreciated,
It sounds to me like you've picked up some type of bacteria/parasite that your body is trying to fight off and has, so far, been unsuccessful.
You're doing the right thing by eating the kefir and miso as they are good sources of natural probiotics, of course.
Since you've had such a long case of diarrhea, I would strongly suggest an intestinal cleanse with anti-parasitic and anti-bacterial herbs in it, something like Herbal Fiberblend
. This should help get rid of the underlying problem.
In the meantime, you may find one of these options helpful to get the diarrhea under control.
- Add 1 tsp. of organic apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and drink it as needed. I like the Bragg's ACV, but any organic or ACV should do the trick.
- Add 1 tsp. of turmeric to a glass of water and drink it as needed.
Both of those "home remedies for diarrhea" have alleviated the condition for many people. Hopefully you will find yourself added to the list.
No doubt, once you get the cause of the diarrhea out of your system, you will be able to sleep well again and get your color back as you rebuild your immune system.
You do need to be careful that you don't dehydrate and that your electrolytes don't get too low.
If you want immune boosting suggestions, just let me know. So hope you're feeling better soon!
To your good health,
