Colon Health Dilemma
I have a colon health dilemma.
I have tried several colon cleanse products recently; each time I begin my health gets very bad and my thinking gets foggy.
I can now identify this as a healing crisis. What can I do to support myself to complete the proper method?
I now have abdominal bloating that is unusual for me. My energy is nonexistent. I've left work to attend my health; gained 15 lbs in four months.
Please help. I know that I'm probably half way there. (smile)
I suspect you're right and that when you begin your cleanse the symptoms you are experiencing are part of the detoxification process.
That IS normal and should pass as you ride it out. It's great that you are able to have some time off work to concentrate on getting well. Not having that work commitment will make it easier for you to go through the detox process because you can spend more time resting. Rest is very helpful in getting through it and past it.
I am most familiar with cleansing using Herbal Fiberblend
, so I will give you suggestions based on that protocol and you can either use the HFB or adapt the following guidelines to products of your own choosing.
First of all, when you begin to cleans with HFB, you start off with 1 tsp. twice per day in water or juice. After a few days you increase the dosage amount to 2 tsps. and then to a full rounded tablespoon twice per day.
You'll continue on with this for about 3 months to get the best long-lasting results, and then you can taper back down again as desired.
Don't panic! That doesn't mean you will be
going through severe detox symptoms all that time. :) They are likely to be more severe in the first couple of weeks and then come and go once in a while after that. Keep in mind that every person is in a different condition physically so results will vary because of that.
While taking the Herbal Fiberblend, you can and should certainly be supporting your body with additional supplements to help make the detox symptoms less severe and get better results.

And, of course, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. I don't mean to shout, but this is one of the most neglected elements that people leave out when cleansing. The water definitely helps to move the old toxic matter and dead and dying parasites out of your body much more quickly and efficiently so that you have less difficulty when cleansing. Don't underestimate it's value and importance. :)
