Parasite Symptoms Come And Go?

by Jeanne Taylor
(United States)

Can the parasite symptoms come and go?

I ate sushi for the first time about a month ago and have had trouble with bloating, diarrhea, nausea, some dizziness, and intestinal cramping.

The funny thing is that some days are better than others and the symptoms usually improve by midday.

I had a recent thyroid medication change about the same time these symptoms started, but I have never experienced these symptoms when my medication was changed before.

Could it be a parasite?

Hi Jeanne,

Yes, parasites symptoms come and go at times, so your symptoms could definitely be the result of a parasite.

Your immune system fights against a parasitic infection and tries to get rid of the problem. It makes some headway, then gets overwhelmed, in a cycle. That could be why, seemingly, the parasite symptoms come and go.

However, it is also suspicious that your change in medication occurred around the same time as these symptoms.

What type of change in medication was it - a change in dose, or a change in type? Have you looked up the possible side effects of the medication you are taking? Spoken to your doctor about the possibility of side effects?

If you feel you can safely rule out the thyroid medication as a possible culprit, then it would be a good idea to treat yourself as if you'd picked up a parasite.

If you use a natural remedy, it won't hurt you even if that isn't the underlying cause.

Here are some recommendations for your consideration...

  • Herbal Fiberblend - cleansing herbs and fiber combo (works great)

  • Florafood - combination of good bacteria called probiotics (will probably help regardless of the underlying cause)

Honestly, those two should do the trick all by themselves, but you can always consider taking some digestive enzymes if you think you need them.

Hope that helps.
To your good health!
Angie
