Severe Chronic Constipation

I need help with my son's severe chronic constipation.



My son has been a victim of constipation since he turned one. He is 2 years and 2 months now and is still suffering.


I have tried everything, but being a toddler he does not eat fruit or veg..


I am very upset and stressed as I can't see him in pain. It is horrible, and he is a happy boy, but his constipation is stopping him from having fun.


Please if there is anything any one knows plz inform me. I am going to try Herbal fibreblend as my last option....

I can understand your concern and distress in trying to help your little boy with his severe chronic constipation.


Herbal Fiberblend is a wonderful help for those with constipation problems, but I'm not sure if it is the best choice in your son's case.


If you can't get him to eat fruits and vegetables, I think you'll really struggle to get him to take the Herbal Fiberblend. The herbs in HFB which help to make it so successful in improving bowel health have a bitter taste. It's not easy to disguise the flavor.


There's a good chance that the lack of fruits and vegetables in your son's diet is an underlying cause of his constipation. One of the main causes, though, is a lack of hydration in the bowels - leaving the waste matter dry and hard and painful to pass.


Try to make your son have a little drink of water ever 15-30 minutes or so. Even a little bit over and over throughout the day will make a difference.


Something that I think you would find very helpful and have a lot more success getting your son to take is the Salba grain (also known as chia seeds).


This is a natural "whole food" that is full of essential fatty acids that are so important for good bowel health. Salba worked wonderfully well for my toddler nephew in dealing with his chronic constipation issues.


One of the best things about the salba/chia is that it is virtually tasteless so you shouldn't get much complaint from your son about eating it. You can simply mix a tablespoon per day in his cereal, yogurt, or other food and see if it does the trick.
