Are Colon Cleansing Dietary Supplements a Gimmick?
There are a variety of colon cleansing dietary supplements on the market today. In fact, colon cleansing has almost become
something of a "fad." I've never been one to jump on the latest bandwagon just because it's the "in" thing to do. But I have
to admit that I'm a big fan of inner body cleansing.
As with almost any beneficial product or service known to man, there are going to be those people who try to take
advantage of those in need to make a quick buck for themselves. As a result, you can't always rely on packaging
labels and advertisments. Even testimonials can be faked.
When it comes to health information, I find the tactics even downright dastardly! I'll try to restrain myself from
going off on a tangent, but suffice it to say, you can't alway believe the medical profession and you have to be
equally skeptical of complementary health products. The old "buyer beware" saying really holds true in this field.
It's important that you do a little research before plunking down your hard earned money for anything you want to use
to improve your health or maintain good health. Just because a doctor recommends a prescription doesn't mean it is the best
thing for you, that it will work, or that you won't be worse off from the side effects than you were before.
By the same token,
just because a product says "all natural" and makes claims to fix a particular health issue, doesn't mean it actually will.
At least, in those cases you are usually only facing a loss of money if the product is ineffective rather than serious
However, there are some great products, both medicines and natural remedies, that have been helping people for decades. By
doing a little research and using your common sense, you can usually determine if a health product you're considering is
going to be worth your time and money.
So, are colon cleansing dietary supplements a gimmick? Well, in my experience, some are and some are not! There are some
really good tried and true body cleansing programs available at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, there are also quite a few
less than stellar intestinal cleanses that have started popping up all over the place since colon cleansing has become one
of the latest crazes.
I believe those of us who live in Western societies and dine on fast foods, processed foods,
packaged foods, and foods loaded with preservatives, sugars, and various artificial chemicals really DO need to consider treating
our body to a regular inner body cleanse. There's just no way our "diet" is good for us, and we have the diseases to prove it.
By taking the time to cleanse the digestive tract with a colon cleansing dietary supplement, you take some of the toxic pressure off your
gut and your organs. Most of us live in a state of toxic overload and our immune system is extremely stressed as a result.
A good quality combination of fiber and herbs works wonders for the health of the intestines. It always amazes and delights me
to learn of the medicinal qualities of herbs and plants that God gave us in nature. It's no different when it comes to our bowel health.
Any doctor will tell you that your body needs adequate fiber to maintain optimum bowel regularity. Most of us
fail to get the amount of fiber we need in our daily diet, about 35 grams. That's why it's wise to supplement.
The best colon cleansing supplements will also contain a variety of cleansing and healing herbs. There are anti-parasitic and anti-fungal
herbs that can kill and eliminate parasites in your body. Other herbs help to soften fecal matter so that it is easier to pass without pain or
discomfort. There are also herbs that are gentle and soothing to the lining of the intestines which is most appreciated by those who suffer
from an already distressed bowel. Believe it or not, there are even herbs that can help to get those funny little muscles working better that help to
move the waste along through the colon (peristalsis).
If you decide to join the many thousands of people who are taking charge of
their digestive health, be sure that you choose a colon cleansing dietary supplement that has both insoluble and soluble fiber and a good range
of cleansing and healing herbs.
In my opinion, one of the best colon cleansing products on the market today is one that's been around for over 25 years. It's called
Herbal Fiberblend and has proved itself over time to
be extremely effective in helping people with a wide range of digestive complaints.
I personally know people
who have used HFB for relief of chronic constipation, candida, diverticulitis, and more. I personally use Herbal Fiberblend for
regular inner body cleansing. Thankfully, I don't suffer any of the symptoms of poor digestive health, and I want to keep
it that way!
I give myself an annual 3 month cleanse using Herbal
Fiberblend and then I continue to use it as needed throughout the rest of the year to help ward off any little 'bug' I feel coming on. I've
been very pleased with the results, although the taste could use some improvement. :)
I rarely encourage people to jump on the bandwagon when a 'craze' starts to spread, but this is one of those times when a 'fad' can be very beneficial and helpful, so go ahead and climb aboard. Just be sure to get the good stuff, when you do. If you'd like to try the colon cleansing dietary supplements that I use, you can order Herbal Fiberblend here and save
yourself the mark-up of purchasing it at your local health food store (if it's even available in your area).
By the way, if you DO become a user of HFB, I'd love to hear from you about what you think! Not everyone you know will want to know about
your bowels, but I'm one of those crazy people who does. I'm also happy to help you out with any questions you may have, so feel free to ask.
To your good health!
