Are Parasites Contagious Between Humans?

When a person is infested with many kinds of parasites and they are moving around inside the person and causing pain is this something that is contagious to other people?

Hi Liz,

The simple and quick answer to your question is "Yes!"

Parasites are "contagious" which just means that they are easily passed from person to person. This could be from intimate contact or something as simple as shaking hands.

You can even pass them by touching a door knob and someone coming along behind and touching that same door knob.

That's why it is so easy to pass a cold or the flu around. That's parasites in action!

Of course, a lot depends on the type of parasite you are talking about. Parasites range from bacteria and virus to worms. Some parasites are passed more easily than others.

Regardless of the type of parasite, if someone in the family is suffering from a parasite infection, it's a very good idea for the entire family to treat themselves to a parasite cleanse at the same time. This will reduce the chances of passing the parasite infection around.

I hope this answers your question, "Are parasites contagious between humans?" sufficiently. I also hope that the one who is suffering from the pain of a parasite infection will take the necessary steps to cleanse their digestive system so that they can feel well again.

To your good health!
~Angie
