Digestive System Diagram

A Digestive System Diagram will help you see the various parts of the human digestive system. As you understand the different parts of the digestive system, you'll see why good digestive health is so important.


Each organ and element of the digestion process has a specific job to do. If one part of the digestion process is not doing its job, all the other parts can be affected.


Eventually you will know when this occurs because you will start to experience the symptoms of poor digestion.

Digestive System Diagrams

There are a couple of different types of diagrams of the digestive system that I want to show you. In this first diagram you'll see the basic major parts of the digestive system. They include:

Digestion actually starts in the mouth. Your saliva glands produce digestive enzymes that begin the digestive process. Each action sends signals to the next part of the body to prepare them for the job ahead.


I think it is truly amazing the way God made us. A favorite verse of mine, penned by King David, expresses my own thoughts quite eloquently.

Psalm 139:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.


This second diagram of the digestive system shows you all the many areas of the body that can develop problems as a result of poor digestive health.


When you have trouble somewhere else, it can often be traced back to an improper function of the digestive tract. This diagram may be used to help you determine a possible cause for some of the symptoms you may be experiencing.





This final diagram is to illustrate the various diseases of the digestive system itself. Did you ever imagine there were so many possibilities?
