30 years old

by Megan
(Australia)

Hi,

I am 30 years old and suffer from a broad range of symptoms including long cycles and depression.

I am certain I have low progesterone. I am getting the saliva test done, but I have been told it will take several weeks.

Could I do any damage by starting progesterone cream immediately? Should I start using it at a particular time in my cycle?

Thanks!

Hi Megan,

I'm not aware of any damage that you can do by using natural progesterone cream. I have been using it for several years, but honestly have never had my hormone levels tested. :) It IS a good idea, though.

If you decide to start using natural progesterone cream, it is best to start immediately after ovulation, around day 12-14 of your cycle and then use it daily until your cycle begins again (about 2 weeks).

To your good health!
Angie
