Probiotics for Child Constipation

I used probiotics for child constipation.

My one year old had terrible constipation. They would either come out as hard little balls, or the hard little balls would clump together to form hard rocks that literally would take days to pass.

My daughter was only eating fruit and vegetable and still she would go days without pooping, and when she finally pooped, it would come out the size of adult poop, bleeding, all the while she would be screaming horribly.

A midwife suggested we try giving her probiotics. We did and the problem went away within a few days and has never returned. I hope this helps your child!

Thank you so much for sharing your story about using probiotics for child constipation. Your midwife was very wise to recommend probiotics as a solution to constipation in your one year old.

Not every child will be able to get constipation relief by simply using probiotics, but it is an excellent place to start.

Probiotics are the good bacteria that live in our digestive tract to help keep our immune system strong and our digestive system working properly.

You can get probiotics in powder form, or in capsules that can be opened and sprinkled in a little bit of applesauce or mashed banana to make it easier for your child to take. Florafood is a good quality capsule that you could use for this purpose.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience of using probiotics to relieve constipation.
