Dark Reddish Spot Above Inner Ankle

by Asa
(Trinidad)

For a month now I notice a dark reddish spot right above my inner ankle. Now and again I feel the spot tickle and then it starts to itch/scratch.

When I examine the spot, I don't see anything and the spot itches for a few minutes.

Thanks for any help possible.

Asa

Hi Asa,

Can you get some tea tree oil where you live or another type of essential oil that is anti-parasitic and anti-fungal?

If you can, try applying that to the dark reddish spot above inner ankle a few times per day and see if you can get it to go away.

Another option to try is aloe vera gel. I don't know if you are able to grow aloe vera plant there in Trinidad, but if so, try to get some of the plant and apply the gel from the plant onto the reddish spot a few times per day.

The gel from the aloe plant has some really good healing properties for skin and may remove the spot and the cause of the spot if the essential oil doesn't work for you.

There's no reason why you can't try both options, if you prefer. If you decide to do both at the same time, you may want to leave an hour between applications.

A final suggestion would be to try vitamin E oil. You can usually buy the oil in a small bottle, but if that isn't available, you can easily use the Vitamin E capsules and just poke a hole in the capsule and squeeze it on the area of the ankle that is affected.

I hope you are able to try one or more of these natural remedies and relieve the itching reddish spot on your ankle.

To your good health!
Angie
