Digestive System Disease
Can't Something Be Done?

digestive system disease

Digestive System Disease has become commonplace in our society today. So many people suffer because of poor nutrition and lack of knowledge in the area of digestive system health.

This is a sad reality, but it doesn't have to be a reality for you. There is no magic pill or magic potion, but if you are serious about overcoming what ails you, there's a pretty good chance you can do it if you have the self discipline.

In the foreword to the book, Healthy Digestion The Natural Way by Lindsey Berkson, Dr. Jonathan Wright, M.D. wrote...

We are sold "acid-blocking" or "acid-absorbing" medications for "acid" indigestion when the problem, more often than not, is too little acid

We are sold "gas pills" as if chronic excess gas were perfectly normal. We are not told that a chronic gas problem is a warning sign of a digestive malfunction that should - and can - be corrected for improved health.

"Anti-spasmodic" tablets are routinely prescribed without much
attention to what our intestines are trying to tell us with
those spasms. What does "irritable bowel syndrome" mean?
Shouldn't there be a reason our bowels get "irritable?"

He rather hits the nail on the head, don't you think?

Common Digestive System Diseases

When our bodies lack key nutrients as a result of improper digestion and malabsorption, something is going to suffer. It can affect almost any part of the body.

Here's a list of some of the most common diseases of the digestive system. Perhaps you will find yourself in one or more of these categories.

  • Diverticulitis
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Acid Reflux
  • Poor Liver Function
  • Crohn's Disease
  • Colitis
  • Hepatitis
  • Cancer
  • Candida
  • Gallbladder Disease
  • Celiac Disease
  • Parasites
  • AIDS
  • Ulcers

Apart from these many diseases, there are also what some consider more "minor" ailments that are related to poor digestive health. These include...

  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Heartburn
  • Chronic Gas and Bloating
  • Hemorrhoids
  • High Cholesterol
  • Aches and Pains
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Overweight

It's really amazing how much of our life can be affected by the food we eat and the way our body processes it.

You may be in a position where your health has deteriorated to such a state that you need radical measures that only surgery or some other major treatment can provide.

For many, though, proper attention to their digestive health would bring them much needed relief and possibly even healing as the body repairs itself when given what it needs to do so.

To your good health!
