I have worms...

How do I tell my mom and dad I have worms?

Dad's a joker and would make jokes about it and mom wouldn't believe me and I'm not old enough to drive yet.

The worms are thin and look like pubic hair in my stool and my anus is itchy. I have had them for about a month but am afraid to tell anyone...if I tell one person ... the whole world will know!

Hi horsecrazycowgirl,

I understand your dilemma and your concern. I'm sorry that you feel your dad would give you an embarrassing time of it. I know how some dad's can be! :)

If you are able to see the worms in your stool, could you ask your mom to take a look. I know that seems gross and embarrassing, too, but perhaps if she sees them she will believe you.

You don't want to just do nothing. You don't just automatically get better and the worms go away. They need to be treated and eliminated.

One thing you can do is to cut out your sugar intake. Worms and parasites thrive on sugar, so that's a good first step.

Do your parents allow you to order things online? If so, just order some Herbal Fiberblend and some Florafood and take them as directed. That should do the trick for you.

Maybe your mom would understand and believe you. Even though your parents may have never said so, a LOT of people have experienced what you are experiencing and they probably have too.

If all else fails and you have to go through some embarrassment, it will be worth it to just get rid of the problem.

I hope it works out for you.
To your good health!
