Looks Like Moles

It looks like moles but they are crusty and they come off.

My husband was itching and asked me to look at his back and stomach. There where brown and white crusty things attached to his body. They come off, and when I took them off, underneath it looked like dirt. I really don't know.

Was this a one-time occurrence, or is he continuing to get these spots? Was he working outdoors? In the garden? In the woods? In a lake or other body of water?
