Recipe For Spinach And Artichoke Dip

by Angie
(Lake Charles, LA)

I'm trying to find a recipe for spinach and artichoke dip for the candida diet.

I've been on the candida diet almost a week and trying to find more recipes I can eat, such as spinach and artichoke dip.

Also, since I can't have grits with my eggs for breakfast, I'm wondering what maybe I could replace the grits with.

Thank you,
Angie

Dear Angie,

So sorry to not to have answered or posted your question earlier. I wonder if you are even still on the Candida diet?

I was caring for my mother before she went to be with the Lord, and Ifell behind in my ability to keep up with the Q&A here. Again, I'm sorry.

Unfortunately, I don't have a recipe for spinach and artichoke dip that would be particularly good on a candida diet. I LOVE hot spinach and artichoke dip, but the cheeses and mayonnaise would be feeding the yeast you are trying to get rid of.

As for breakfast ideas to replace your grits, how about boiled oats (not instant)? You can have an oat porridge with a bit of soy milk.

You could also try rye, millet, kamut, quinoa, buckwheat, and amaranth to see if you prefer a different whole grain.

As late as this reply is, I hope to hear back from you that you are doing better and have gotten rid of your candida overgrowth.

To your good health!
Angie
