Vaginal Odor

by Corky Inman
(Arcadia, In. USA)

I use a hot tub and when the chemicals in it are the least bit off, in about 2 days after using it I develop a strong vaginal odor that is horrible.

My sister also had this problem. Hers lasted for months on end. Mine lasted maybe a month at a time.

Could this be related and how do we get the odor to go away and re-balance our systems?

I have started taking a protonix. Will this help?

Also I have other symptoms like sore joints, weakness in limbs, chronic fatigue, and my legs on the inner thigh are real painful and swells.

My stomach is also real distended and sore.

Please help.

Dear Corky,

There is definitely a possibility that you (and your sister) are picking up infections from your hot tub. That could be the underlying cause of all of vaginal odor as well as the other symptoms that you are describing.

I'm a little confused as to why you are taking Protonix for this. It's my understanding that Protonix is an acid inhibitor (usually prescribed for people with heartburn or acid reflux).

There are a couple of things I would suggest to get rid of the odor and re-balance your body by boosting your immune system.

First of all, I would suggest you get some organic apple cider vinegar (like Bragg's) and use it diluted as a vaginal douche. Half vinegar and half water is fine (although I've used it full strength myself before).

Secondly, I would suggest a digestive cleanse using Herbal Fiberblend. This will help to eliminate parasites, yeast, toxins, old fecal matter, etc., they may be contributing to your discomfort.

Finally, I would also use Barley Life and AIMega to nourish your body and help to regain the proper balance in your system. If you aren't already taking some probiotics (good bacteria), I'd also add Florafood.

Hope this helps you and your sister both in dealing with the vaginal odor and the other painful symptoms you've been experiencing.

To your good health!
Angie

Vaginal Odor But Been Tested For Everything
by: B from Indianapolis

I have a vaginal odor that comes and goes and I have been to the doctor several times and been tested for everything and it all comes back negative, but yet I still have the odor on and off.

I shower twice a day and always use a wash cloth to clean up inside of me. What can cause this?

What Causes Vaginal Odor?
by: Angie from allaboutparasites.com

Hi B,

I moved your question to this page since it is on the same topic.

The most common cause of odor of the vaginal area is a yeast infection (internal fungal overgrowth). Tests for this are notoriously unreliable, but we ALL have a fungus growing in us called candida albicans.

When our immune system gets low for whatever reason (poor diet, illness, antibiotics, birth control pills, etc), the candida yeast takes the opportunity to grow out of control rather than be held in check by the good bacteria that normally keeps it in check.

There are a lot of different symptoms related to yeast overgrowth, but not everyone gets all the symptoms.

For example some people think that if they don't have vaginal itching, they must not have a yeast infection. That's far from the truth.

I gave my best suggestions to Corky in the original reply above, but I'll repeat them for you here.

Rinse the vaginal area daily with a mixture of organic apple cider vinegar (like Bragg's) and water. You can even just make up a spray bottle of the solution and keep it by the toilet to apply each time you go for a few weeks. I find this the easiest method of application.

Also, in order to get rid of the problem long term, you need to cleanse your body from the inside to kill and eliminate the excess yeast overgrowth by using Herbal Fiberblend twice per day.

Simply take a teaspoon in water or juice twice per day to start and then gradually increase up to a tablespoon (2x per day) for several weeks. This will give your body a chance to get the candida albicans back under control.

Also, you need to replenish the good bacteria in your system with probiotics. I recommend Florafood because it is very high quality and stable without being refrigerated (easy to use capsules).

The BarleyLife and AIMega that I mentioned above is also excellent and will help you feel great, but you may be able to get by without them if necessary.

However, if your vaginal odor is from something else other than a yeast overgrowth, using all of the above will give you a better chance of getting it sorted out because it balances out your system and provides you with a ton of nutritional support that your body needs to self-heal.

Hope this helps and that you eliminate the problem quickly and easily.

Blessings,
Angie
