How To Use Progesterone Cream

how to use progesterone creamLearn how to use progesterone cream properly in order to get all the benefits and reduce the symptoms of low progesterone in your body.

If you have the signs of low progesterone, it is definitely worth trying natural progesterone cream.

Natural progesterone is safe, inexpensive, and has so many positive benefits to your health, that it's really silly NOT to try it.

I've been using natural progesterone cream since early 2000. I was still in my early 30's but found it to be extremely helpful in stabilizing my emotions and reducing the symptoms of PMS to almost nothing.

Now that I'm approaching menopause, I continue to use it, but have found an even better quality natural progesterone (Renewed Balance) that works to an even greater degree.

It's important that you know how to use progesterone cream so that you use the right amount for you at your stage in life.

The normal dose of natural progesterone for women should be about 20 to 24 mg per day and about 10 to 12 mg. per day for men. This is the amount that is naturally produced by the body and the level you want to maintain as you age.

The natural progesterone cream should be applied to the thin areas of your skin for best absorption. The recommended places to apply the cream are the face, neck, upper chest, breasts, inner arms, inner thighs, palms of the hands and soles of the feet.

You should also rotate where you use the cream so that you don't saturate one area. I usually pick 4 different locations and rotate between those 4 places.

How To Use Progesterone Cream

The following dosage is for the progesterone I use and recommend, Renewed Balance. If you are using some other type of natural progesterone, you need to figure out how much to use in order to get 20-24 mg. per day.

This is the dosage for pre-monopausal women...

One rounded 1/8 teaspoon to a scant 1/4 teaspoon per day. This is 1 - 1.2 g of cream and should be used for approximately two weeks (from ovulation to menstruation). Ovulation generally begins 12 to 14 days after the first day of menstruation so you should apply the cream from day 12 to 26.

This is the dosage for menopausal and postmenopausal women...

One rounded 1/8 teaspoon to a scant 1/4 teaspoon per day. This is 1 - 1.2 grams of cream and should be used for two to three weeks. You may begin your usage at any time. Some women like to start on the first of the month and go for three weeks and then stop for the last week.

This is the dosage for men...

The dose of natural progesterone for men is 10 to 12 mg per day. This equates to about 1/16 teaspoon of AIM’s Renewed Balance.

Men do NOT need time off like women and can use the progesterone cream without taking any days off.

Note: Some people like to split the dose and use the natural progesterone cream twice per day. My friend Kate does this and she finds she notices a real improvement in splitting her dose. Apparently, over a 24 hr period, you get a more even absorption by splitting your dose.

I've tried it, but I have to be honest. I have a tendency to forget to use my evening dose! I've resorted to using the full amount in the morning so I'm certain to get in the amount I need each day. You can do whatever works best for you and your schedule.
