Baby Has Constipation

My first baby has constipation. She is 7 months old and I don't know what to do.

Dear Maria,

It's scary having a new baby and not knowing what to do to for their comfort. I think all mom's face this at one point or another, even if it isn't their first child.

Are you breast-feeding your baby or is she on formula? Sometimes formula is the cause of constipation in infants. It may be too much iron in the formula or another ingredient. Look into trying a different formula.

If you are using baby formula and your baby has constipation, maybe you can try increasing the amount of water in relation to the formula - in other words, water down the formula a bit.

There are other tips for baby constipation that you may want to consider trying. Read through those and see if they help.

Let me know if I can be of further help.
Blessings,
Angie
