Vaccines Aren't Bad
I don't think the vaccine is a bad idea. What could it hurt?
Vaccines aren't bad. If it protects against "the wrong kind of flu," it will still protect you from *some* form of flu.
It's not like you're going to lick the tissues of a flu sufferer because you're vaccinated. I'm going to go with the advice of my doctor to decide whether I get it.
Thanks for your input on the subject of the swine flu shot. In spite of your calm assurance that vaccines aren't bad, history proves that they can be very bad for some people.
I've been vaccinated against the flu before many years ago. Fortunately, I did not suffer any long term side effects from the flu shot. My immune system was pretty strong at the time, anyway, so I'm sure that contributed to the effects.
However, some people suffer very serious side effects from vaccinations, from mild sickness to lifelong disabilities and even death.
No, you don't "lick the tissues" of a flu sufferer when you get the swine flu shot, but you DO have some of the swine flu bacteria injected directly into your body (possibly worse than licking it?).
It's not just the particular virus that's to be questioned, but also the additional ingredients that make up the vaccine. There's mercury, a known toxin to humans, just to start.
And, no, getting a vaccine against one strain of flu does not protect you in the least from other forms of flu. You are misinformed on that point.
By all means, speak to your doctor about the swine flu vaccine and whether or not you should get it. But, do some research on the subject yourself beforehand so you will know what questions you need to ask, etc.
Remember that doctors are only human, too. They are not all-knowing and can't be expected to know everything about everything. They have to do their research too and not just take the advice of the pharmaceutical company selling the drug, etc.
We each have to have personal responsibility for our own health and well being.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts and comments. I hope you stay well this year. To your good health!
