Is medical treatment for parasites the right move for you?  How is the medical profession treating those who suffer from symptoms of parasites that look like hair?  

We have a long discussion going on here at All About Parasites that you may find to be helpful as you research and decide what steps you can take to find healing and relief.


Unfortunately, medical treatment for parasites is quite difficult to find - at least effective medical treatment for parasites!  Sadly, the most common medical treatment recommended by many doctors is anti-psychotic drugs. 

Yes, people are being told that they are having delusions of parasites (in other words, they're crazy!). 

While there may be some people who are having delusions of parasites as a side-effect from taking other drugs, those cases are rare and are not the norm.  I don't believe that the vast majority of our site visitors fall into that category at all.

I do believe that there are things that you can do to fight against a suspected parasite infestation.  I'm not a doctor, but rather focus on the principles of good health and healing. 

What natural cleansing for parasites are good and effective alternatives? I always begin with Herbal Fiberblend.  It's the most effective cleanse for parasites whether they are skin parasites or internal parasites.  Of course, for severe cases, a more aggressive protocol is encouraged.

biting hair.

I know exactly what she is talking about, not in my hair so much but blend with it and bite my face and try for the ears and neck, they bite me all over, had them for @ 6 months, and just now are by my personal area. They HURT when they bite, no itching, but they look like a fine hair. I see them in my poo and snot and they look like big chiggers or something in the skin. sometimes longer, what are they? I am getting bit now. only in my house and no one else gets bit. I can shave my arm hairs and there will be hair just like that. they embed or something and leave the hair. thinner than my own and a different characteristic, and color. WHAT TO DO AND HOW!~? wash clothes twice in hot and dry and dry till no eggs are on my clothes, I see them in the air too. look kinda squiggly. HELP~! I can't take much more! PLEASE!

biting hair.

OMG<~! All us women have the exact same thing. you say yours itch. mine CHOMP and bite. but the rest is the same. I vacuum and shake blankets and totally check clothes before putting them on. mine started when the weatherization guys came to my home. I bombed and fumigated and everything. The only relief I get if for a sec is rubbing alcohol. or go out in the cold, but you still have to come in. and in that instant the biting starts. My hands are getting bit and my back now. The feet hurt the worse and the hair looks at you and knows where it is going to attack. get two of them together and watch them fight. (I have had them for a while, I am now playing with them) now I am crazy,. but what can ya do? please tell me where to look. I want one day...Just 1 in 6 months of NO biting, stinging, chewing on me! please please .. begging you please. :'(

Have you tried cleansing?

Have you tried any of the suggestions made above for internal cleansing using the Herbal Fiberblend, and the other supplements?


There are so many people that come to the site and tell their story, but I don't hear back from many that actually try the suggested supplements for a couple of months and see if they help.

Why aren't any of you going to a medical doctor for assistance? Not just a general practioner, but an intestinal specialist, and showing them these intestinal worms that you have collected? Getting a stool sample, etc?

Doctors Don't Know What's Wrong

All doctors need to xxxx cause not one of y'all know what I have or what's wrong with me. I have something in my stool that looks like strands of white hair but I don't think it's hair. I think it's some sort of worm an I also have seizures often and took plenty of cat scans and MRIs and all kind of other tests and they still don't know what's wrong with me. I might as well be a doctor myself cause I answered my own question!

1. Many of the visitors HAVE sought medical help, but unfortunately they are not getting the help they deserve. Sadly, there is a lack of education among many medical professionals regarding intestinal parasites and their presence and effects.

Not only that, there are always more and more mutations developing as well as viruses that become resistant to traditional treatments (hence the new flu bugs each year, etc).

2. If you have actually seen the hair-like parasites in your stool, have you given yourself an natural intestinal cleanse? If not, why not?

It is so easy to give yourself an herbal cleanse. It just takes a little self disciple to take your herbal mix twice per day. The results are well worth it.

Most people can do a 3 month cleanse with Herbal Fiberblend for about $100-150.00 (depending on which country you live in) which is a lot more affordable than all these tests you are putting yourself through (and in my opinion going to give you better results).

Hi Crystal,
I have been where you are and it's not fun. The best thing to help you is a product I found on e-bay called Steri fab, it's about $40.00 per gallon and you spray is on your clothes and bedding and it kills them on contact. You get instant relief! Also fish oil pills work for me too, it takes about a week of them to start working, but it has helped me with the "inner" morgellons.I hope this helps you and anyone else reading this. Here I am again! Good News!

I am happy, I feel better and positive.
Now I know this disgusting "thing" is, actually, a parasite. And both kinds of treatment are necessary: The intestinal cleansing and the medication your Doctor may prescribe. Believe me... it was WORST that the time I wrote the first time... Worst means for me: I was desperate... some night this worms just got insane and bite and spread and crawled all of my skin... couldn't sleep at all... feeling so sorry, so bad... one night I wanted to spread with boiling water all my body in order to kill them or... to put some acid... I was trembling I was crying of impotence. Worst mean that last weeks this thing started to have another way of spread itself, in the form of a kind of almost invisible particles coming off of the anus and... floating in the air... ant then at the moment they felt your uncover skin... just launched as arrows on your skin, when you felt dozens of small needles buried in the area ... was terrible! twice every hour or half an hour. Can you believe it?? If this weren't explained I would said it was a kind of demoniac thing. Now they are not longer molesting me. Yes, the medication makes me feel dizzy and weak. Yes, I had to spend some money and make clinical analysis... But now I thanks God and other people that helped me to get off of that inferno.

Steri Fab and Cedarcide

Thanks for your comments about Steri Fab. I hadn't heard of it and it sounds interesting. I went over to their site to find out more information.


I prefer natural and non-toxic ingredients whenever possible, which is why I have been looking into the Cedarcide product which is also labeled as Dr. Ben's Evictor product that another visitor recently mentioned.


Steri Fab makes some pretty incredible claims and I'm thrilled that it worked so well for you, but I hope that there aren't any long term negative side effects from its use since it does say that it is made from synthetic pyrethroid, which is important to note.


I know many of our visitors are so desperate for help that they don't care if a product may be toxic as long as it WORKS. If someone is at that point, they may want to try it, too.

parasite that looks like hair

I've been annoyed from this disturbing hair fiber for 6 years...
I've moved house 3 times since?and it always come back?which makes me think it is actually internal problem?but not intestinal or intoxication ?I believe it may be one those opportunistic infections, that are those infections that are uncommon except when they are given an "opportunity" to infect. And one can be immune or not... If I?m right this respond why just one or two members of family get involved with them, even though they live in same conditions and can goes trough same problems?and once you get it, it will be with you forever.
However you can suffer very much or control symptoms depending on your body and mind.
I?ve tried all homeopathic and medical cleaning stuff?It made kind of relief?but as soon I stopped or I´ve stayed in a wet place, or I?ve felt too much anxious or, too worried, too tired, sick? anything that changes my energy? those fellows appears, as the owner of the house.

Sometimes it get so bad that that normal and vital actions is very difficult to do?like dressing up,(I keep on changing, until I decide to stay nude) like cooking (those false hairs loves to be near the sink, they take lift in the water movement, but seems they hate fire, as soon I switch on the oven they get mad, and really attack me) I cannot even get close to the mirror, if I use eye lash, they come together with the brush? they stick in the lipstick as soon I open the lid, with the toothbrush and toothpaste, the same? but most o all?I get mad? completely lose my control trying to stuck my hair. (It?s long). I change in a maniac compulsive ?redoing the same action? I brush my hair to try to get them out ,but more they sticks on the brush, connecting to my hairs?, finally when I am able to tidy up, I feel them on thing I use to tidy. I ´ll brush again, (keep combs on the frezzer, kkk),stuck again? after 10 mints feel them pulling my hair out, crawllign over my head? than i pannic thincking it is a beetle or some huge flying insect...go close the miror, very close, as i ´m really feeling somthing there... nothing big is found,however,i ve got to close to the miror, they love this... all over my hayr again....once this abnormal sensation starts I only get relief outside, but by the time, I m already to freaked out to go anywhere? this really makes me hallucinate... I just try fighting them all day long?fell crazy, no control at all.

My Theory

I think they are in the air, maybe brought from dumm wind, they make a huge net, everywhere around the world...searching for appropriate house and meals? which house would be, dirty, moody, wetly, massy, closed, smoky, aerosol, dark places and the food would be someone with some immune daisies, depression, mental disorder? or even just sick, tired, too worry, tired, wreaks?anything that makes our immune resistance lower.
However my symptoms are just felt at home, and I?ve learned to ignore them if I am distracted enough...having friends at home?I would see them, even feel one , but do go mad, try do not scratch, still good vibrating. Seems to breaks their waves
At this moment, I stopped writing few time to check hair and take one of those false hair out. And seems as more I pull out more attach to my hairs, mixing witch them? and turning n a huge mass? I can even see blonde small and thicker hairs? coming from wall and sticking on top of my head? really freaky.

A different kind of "hair" parasite

I've been dealing with a parasite now for several months. At first I thought I was imagining things. But the bites left little red marks. I also have 2 parrots that started itching. Then I noticed little--almost invisible--white things wisp through the air now and then. That led me to call Hot Shot about which bug bomb to use. They recommended the one in the purple cans for bedbugs and fleas. Last week I had the carpets steam cleaned, bug bombed the house, and had the birds treated at the vet. The vet said she did not see mites in the samples she took but she treated the birds anyway. The bugs seemed to be gone from the home for the next day. Within 2-3 days, they were back. I called the county Cooperative Office which helps with stuff like this. They asked me to bring in a sample. To catch them, you close off the room where they are most common and leave a cup of hot water under a red light. To my delight, there were at least 6-8 floating in the morning. I put them in alcohol and took them over. Days later they called and said they needed another sample because they had to send it off to UGA (Athens, GA that specializes in animals) to be identified. So that night I did the warm water test again. I waited with it for awhile and researched online about what it could be. One thought led to another and I eventually went and got my black light. Brought it into the bathroom with me to see if I could see them. What I saw was my face covered in what looked like lint that was white and glowed beautifully in the UV light, several pores that were lit up in pinkish/orange, and a few of the "footballs" on my scalp. But nothing flying or crawling on my scalp where I always feel it. Nevertheless, I watched and waited to see one fly by. Then TO MY HORROR the "lint" started to move!!! Of course I thought for sure I was seeing things! I went back online to look up the florescent pores and everything was pointing to acne. But then I read about a parasite called Demodex that causes acne because of its oily secretions. Demodex is a worm-like parasite that has a head and 4 little legs on a snake-like body that looks very much like hair. I brought the black light into the office with me and watched again in a mirror. Again, the lint was moving! I pulled several pieces off with tweezers and placed them on a magnified mirror. I watched in amazement and took pictures with my cellphone. After wasting several hours on this, I put them in a vial of alcohol along with the little flying ones for UGA. Today I researched all day on remedies to kill them. I'm still not sure they are Demodex. But I am CERTAIN that the "lint" I've seen that floats around and covers my clothes is hardly lint.

One reader posted that they seem intelligent. I completely agree. It seems like they are blind because they did not react to objects like tweezers coming towards them. But they almost always reacted when I moved my cellphone closer. It was like they can read energy. Interesting! While I was video taping one, it JUMPED!! And I don't mean it nudged. It literally jumped off the mirror onto the back of my phone that was at least 3 inches above it. I have it on tape and all I can say is that it scared the begeezus outta me!!! It appears this is how they might travel...they launch themselves in the air, drift onto us like lint, and then burrow in our skin. I can't tell if they are related to the flying parasites and if so, which one comes first (the flying transforms into the worm or the worm turns into a fly).

Anyway, back to getting rid of them. One thing I read is that they don't like Borax, tea tree oil, and peroxide. I don't have any borax in the house but I had some tea tree oil and peroxide. So I started with the tea tree oil. It didn't seem to phase them much at all. But when I put the hydrogen peroxide on my face, OMG!!! (Do not do this if you are prone to nightmares.) Apparently they HATE hydrogen peroxide. Anywhere I put it on my face where they lived in the skin immediately started stinging and LIT UP in white. Areas where they weren't present stayed completely neutral. I noticed that you have to apply it with a cotton ball because a wash cloth does not work. Then I drenched a cotton ball and just held it in one spot. The stinging was incredible because I could feel them burrowing under the skin trying to get away. In the meantime, some of the "hairlike" ones were emerging from other areas of my face that I had treated. After holding the cotton ball in one place for about 3-5 minutes (very difficult to do with the stinging), I removed it. My face in that area was almost completely solid white and there were 2-3 tiny holes for pores. I still don't know what the white is...dead parasites, new parasites that hatched, new tunnels, etc. I will be calling a doctor first thing on Monday to find out. I've also got a call into my vet about what to do for my birds. Poor babies!!! I think all this started when I got new food for them shipped to me. I'm investigating that too and paid for the college to examine additional food samples I sent with my order.

For now, I'm off the the health food store to buy many of the remedies mentioned above. I feel for all of you, regardless of whether or not our "hairlike" parasites are the same. The bottom line is they are everywhere, they are not well known, hard to kill, and driving everyone around us to think we are all crazy.

All of my research shows they exist among humans and usually become problematic for people with weak immune systems. If this is true, it makes sense that they try to stress us out like they do. ha!

I like your post a lot because it was so perfectly written and sounded educated, I would very much like to hear the results you get back from your doctor. Thank you for the peroxide information, and the black light idea, I will try this too and see what happens. I have recently found that using a piece of tape or lint roller on your skin will take them off your skin and you can examine this with a jeweler's lupe or microscope. This also gives me immediate relief from the biting and itching I experience from time to time. The tape works better that just washing with soap as you can still pick up the parasites with the tape immediately after washing. again, what has worked for me in the house is steri fab. A different kind of "hair" parasite

Hi Guys. Thanks for the supportive posts. I just wanted to give you an update for today...

Last night I bought: 1) Moisturizing Selson Blue. Seems to help calm the skin on my scalp where they like to tunnel. 2) In Kroger's natural foods section I found a homeopathic face wash called Eczema & Psoriasis by Natralia. I almost gasped with joy when I saw it uses Borax as one of the active ingredients! I think (hope) it will work well to treat my skin because I found out this morning that the peroxide did a number on my skin (more about this below). 3) I read in another post that a girl sprayed Braid and Extensions Sheen Spray on her face and they hated it. She said it also helped clear up her acne. I'd never heard of it before but found it in the Aftrican/Black hair section at the store. I bought a brand by African Royale. I'm glad it worked for her but I'd say don't waste your money because it seemed to do nothing for me. 4) A quart of epsom salts because apparently they hate salt. 5) CVS had this little bottle of Bed Bug spray at the counter for about $7. I'm *certain* these are not bed bugs but since Hot Shot said their product also targeted mites.

Before bed I: 1) sprayed my mattress, pillow, blanket and comforter with the CVS spray. Not sure if it will help but it certainly cant hurt right? 2) Took a hot bath in the Epsom Salts. I think it helped heal the bites/sores I have on my abdomen and chest some. 3) Applied peroxide on my face and body. The sores on my abdomen did not react much but the results on my face were pretty much the same as before. I took several pics to bring to the doctor next week and was glad I did. When I woke up this morning, my whole face was red like it was sunburned and the areas that were almost solid white from the peroxide are very chaffed. I'm sure the combination of all I've done to it in the last 24 hours plays a huge part in this but I also think that whatever is tunneling underneath is drying up (I hope!!!) and leaves the skin on top dead to dry up and peel. I imagine it will start to peel tomorrow or Monday. grrrrreat...one more thing to deal with...ha! But if that's what it takes to clear this stuff up, I say bring it! (I'd suggest that if you try the peroxide on your face to feel/see a reaction, don't scrub it. Just drench a cotton ball and gently pat it by holding it in one place for a few seconds. If it's going to react, it will within 10 seconds or so. From there you can decide how long you want to hold it to see just how bad it really is. Keep in mind that you do not need a black light for this. The white shows up mostly in normal light, which leads me to believe it's dead skin because healthy skin does not light up under UV.) 4) Put new sheets on the bed since the spray had dried.

I'm off to find Borax and buy a boatload of pillow cases (so I can change them out every night until this madness stops).

I'd love to see if any of this does the same for you too.
